The designer in me is never satisfied

…especially with websites.
It is really frustrating.

I can build something that looks great, and then a few weeks later I tweak it. And tweak it again. And again.
It’s bloody great for search engines as it’s providing fresh, updated content! But for myself, I just can’t get it out of my head unless I tweak it. I look back on some client’s websites and I just want to get my paws onto it again so I can do small changes – of course, they are not going to pay me just because I have an urge to change a line or some text here and there!
So I’d like to pose a question, do other designers have this urge?

  • I know exactly what you mean. Exactly. Develop with function. My site has gone under more and more changes as my audience grows — and I get more and more meticulous about it.

In fact, I’m doing a new design right now.

But yes, the urge is there. And winning.

  • We’ve been building the ‘new’ e-CBD website for about 4 months now! I know exactly what you mean :)

  • Oh yeh, I have the same problem, addiction, fascination. Barely a month goes by where I don’t do a re-design. Actually I just launched my latest one overnight, and hopefully this time I can keep my hands off of it for longer than a month!!
